Community Transport Services

Driving and using public transport can be challenging for older adults, particularly those with health conditions or limited mobility.

However, the ability to travel from one place to another is essential for maintaining a healthy, happy, active, and fulfilling lifestyle.

That’s why our volunteers provide Community Transport services to help individuals get to health-related appointments.

Our service means that people don’t have to feel reliant on family or friends whenever they need to go out, helping them to stay independent, active and social.

This service is more than just transportation; it offers a vital lifeline.

Days Out / Excursions

At ANCA, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy a joyful day out, regardless of age or mobility. Our monthly day trips are designed for senior residents who may require a little assistance or simply seek companionship for friendly conversation and laughter. These outings offer a chance to explore new places, breathe in fresh air, and foster new friendships.

Participants gather at St Mildred’s at 10 a.m. and will be dropped home around 3 p.m. Our accessible minibuses ensure comfort and safety for all. These trips not only offer a refreshing change of scenery but also foster social connections and a vibrant community spirit.

In 2026, we will focus on visiting some of the stunning National Trust gardens across the UK. Garden walks bring joy and encourage exercise and social interaction. Spending time outdoors offers significant health benefits, including an improved mood and a reduced risk of various chronic conditions.

Don’t forget to secure your place—booking is necessary.

Cost: variable depending on the destination; however, we strive to keep it affordable for everyone.

Refreshments are not included.
